City One minutes Havana will be show at 18.30

On the 18 of Mars opening of Ozewa my new work for the public hall of

het Stadsdeelhuis in Oost

/Watergraafsmeer in Amsterdam

One of the Cairo city one minutes is nominated for the One Minutes awards 2009 which will take place in the Dutch Culture Center in Shanghai on19 March 2010.

Shanghai TV will build a TV studio for the ceremony
and broadcast the show on their art channel.

The winners will be announced during the show.

The video is a collaboration between Salah Hashem (Egyptian/French film maker) and me.
The movie has been shoot between 22.00-23.00 hour.

Anne Verhoijsen:  Een beeld dat vorm wordt gegeven

OZEWA, kunstwerk in licht en woorden
Stadsdeel Oost-Watergraafsmeer Amsterdam
Oranje-Vrijstaatplein 2 in Oostpoort

Drie kunstenaars nodigde het Stadsdeel Oost-Watergraafsmeer uit om een voorstel in de dienen voor een kunstwerk dat geplaatst zou worden in de hal van het nieuwe stadsdeelkantoor. Anne Verhoijsen (58) kreeg de opdracht. Verhoijsen staat bekend als conceptueel multimediakunstenaar. Op de vraag wat dit inhoudt, zegt Verhoijsen dat ze altijd uitgaat van een concept dat na een rijpingsproces vorm krijgt in haar hoofd. De uitwerking hiervan wordt het kunstwerk dat Verhoijsen tegenwoordig vorm geeft met behulp van camera’s en computers.

van Splitscreen Art Cinema zitten in  het zijprogramma van het IFFR.
Het wordt vertoond in het Museum Boijmans van Beuningen
van 27 januari tot 8 februari.

Visions of Paradise has been selected for the SpiritualTV Channel.
SPIRITUAL TV is the first online channel in Europe dedicated to spirituality.
It offers fiction, animation, and documentary films, each one rare and of quality.

In order to select and view films, all you have to do is become a member.

Finally the Dutch week has started today. According to the Cuban authorities everything was a mistake! The work of the onemiute foundation and my lecture in the Museo de Belles Artes was cancelled for logistic reasons! The story will be continued. In the spring I will go again and see what has happened finally.

The Cuban authority has forbidden the Dutch cultural week. The exhibition about Piet Hein (a famous Dutch sailor) is allowed to go on. But the performance’ s, movie’s music do not get the permission to perform. What a shame!
